A new luxurious London Taxi by Kahn Design, a UK-based company focused on visual modifications for different types of vehicles, has officially hit the market.
This new luxury taxi is based on the newer Black Taxi TX5 model and is being called “Farelady”. As is usual with Kahn’s designs, the new cab has a much more modern, luxury look than you would expect from a London Taxi Cab.
According to Motor1, the new TX5 has a “Maybach-inspired front grille” and “a set of forged and machine lightweight wheels”. Further we have noticed the rood spoiler, which is purely for aesthetics. The inside of the cab is just as nice, starting with the design of the seats inspired by the Bugatti Chiron. Further there is even a headliner with starlight, a feature must well known from the Rolls-Royce. Additional upgrades include a wireless phone charging pad, switchable ambient LED lighting, and additional USB charging ports.
“It is always a privilege to work on what is truly one of the most iconic cars in the world,” stated Afzal Kahn, founder of Kahn Design. “The Last of Line edition was a great success for us, with the vehicles all finding homes with private collectors. I look forward to embarking on a journey with new clients who wish to possess their own piece of British history in the form of the TX5 taxi.
This isn’t the first time Kahn has modified a London taxi. Kahn originally modified the TX4 back in 2018.
Thinking about purchasing your own tricked out London Cab? The prices for a fully converted TX5 Farelady start at £99,000, which is about $121,000 with the current exchange rates. The Farelady is available in black, blue, silver, grey, and British racing green colors with a plethora of interior combinations available.
